Agile IT Project Manager – Infrastructure
The Role
- Track and analyzes project performance, expenditures, procurement and report any blockers, risks, overflows, deficits, or changes to the project scope, schedule, or costs.
- Develops and implement communication and reporting mechanisms to manage and escalate program challenges.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for project improvement based on analysis or project performance.
- Proactively establishes and maintains partnerships with IT and Change teams on current projects and deliverables and prepares for future project opportunities.
- Consults with IT Delivery Directors and Managers ensuring Program Governance and Agile methodology is followed across the program.
- Support the Solutions Architecture Leadership Team backlog.
- Creates and maintains project documentation using our enterprise Agile tools.
- Promotes the benefits of change and acts as a catalyst for change across the corporation and adapts to changes imposed by others.
- Shares project experience/knowledge and mentor others across the program to help build project management skills.
What You Offer
- Bachelor’s degree, Project management certification or equivalent relevant work experience. Agile experience is distinct advantage.
- Has over two years of related experience. Experience in finance, project management, systems, or IT is a plus.
- Demonstrates good negotiation skills with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge and experience with various Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Project, Power Point, and Visio
- Has strong planning, organizing and time management skills.
- Understands Unum’s products, services, and processes.

Data Scientist – Statistician
Job Specifications
- Master’s degree in quantitative field is required, Ph.D. is preferred
- Professional experience or equivalent relevant work experience preferred
- Programming – Experience in programming languages, such as Python and R, to develop programs for manipulating large and complex datasets data analysis and implementing algorithms.
- Statistics & Statistical modeling: Expertise using statistical inference and regression. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, feature selection, and extraction. Conducts end-to-end tasks from problem synthesis to model deployment.
- Data Visualization: Transforming data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals by creating and editing visual content including maps, charts, and graphs.
- Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading: Preferred skills include: Expertise in writing complex SQL queries that join multiple tables/databases. Independently explore databases/tables to identify best data sources to solve business problems developing complex SQL queries with little guidance.
- Core business capabilities: Demonstrated communication skills, experience in financial services, leadership experience working with senior management and executive leadership, and attention to detail while effectively and independently prioritizing work and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Leadership Capabilities: Viewed as a promoter of change management and leads proof of concept work and prototyping when necessary.
- Preferred characteristics: Entrepreneurial self-starter, a thorough, results-oriented problem-solver, and effectively works as part of a diverse team.
