The CIPD South East Region are hosting an in person panel discussion on Wednesday March 22, 2023 at the SETU arena.

Registration will kick off at 5.30pm with light refreshments being served for all attendees. The panel discussion what now for the workplace of the future? will be hosted from 6-7pm. This is a free event.

The chosen panellists come from a variety of backgrounds to share their perspectives on remote, hybrid and inclusive work practices.

Speaker bios:

Mary Connaughton

Mary Connaughton is passionate about developing people and workplaces to be at their best. As Director of CIPD Ireland she is leading the development and contribution of the HR profession in Ireland. Mary has a wealth of HR experience having most recently headed up HR Development at Ibec, engaging with leading companies on strategic HR and organisational development initiatives along with legislative and policy developments. Mary has also held a Director position at Graphite HRM, as well as organisation development roles with the Bank of Ireland Life and Emerge Consulting.

Dr. Monica Murphy

Monica Murphy PhD. is the CEO and founder of a global training, development and coaching business, MONERE Development Services, established in 2011. Monica is a training consultant with 25 years’ experience in the design delivery and evaluation of courses from entry/graduate level to senior management level. She provides top-class training interventions, career coaching and helping people prepare for interviews. She is also responsible for quality assurance of all courses and interventions as well as meeting clients and drafting initial proposals. Monica is also an accomplished part-time lecturer, in UCC and Munster Technological University (MTU) on the HR Higher Diploma in Human Resource Practice. She has published a number of peer-reviewed academic papers in international journals. ‘The Manager’s Handbook for a New World of Work’ by Monica Murphy is the first book of its type by an Irish Author to capture a range of topics that are critical to successful management in a hybrid, remote working and more flexible world.

Andrew Campbell

The Waterford-based Irish Centre for Diversity (ICFD) is a D&I focused company that supports businesses and organisations to become more equitable and diverse. Andrew brings over 20 years of experience to his Communications role. With ‘lived experience’ gained in the UK and Ireland, Andrew is a D&I champion with a special interest in positive role models. He has had articles about D&I issues published in the Business Post, Marketing.ie and others. He holds an MSc Marketing from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School where his study included Marketing for Social change, Leading corporate reputation and he also gained a certificate from the Intercultural Development Programme. Andrew is a TED talk fanatic, crossfitter and an avid Ru-Paul’s Drag Race follower.

Eimear O’Donoghue – Founder/Director @ FutureReady

Supporting organisations in preparing for the Future of Work, specialising in modern HR and remote working.
