Kilkenny, 24th April, 2023. Kilkenny-based CluneTech has been awarded Champion Well-being Strategy at the annual Irish HR Champion Awards. CluneTech was recognised at the awards ceremony on Friday 21st April 2023.

The Irish HR Champion Awards celebrate the hard work and dedication of HR Teams – operating at the front line, delivering ambitious programmes, impacting business performance and transforming the employee experience. CluneTech was recognised for its true dedication to the well-being of their people and its strategy was quoted as being “truly inspiring”.

Speaking about the recognition, Terry Clune, CEO and Founder of CluneTech, said:

“We are honoured to have won the award for Champion Well-being Strategy at this year’s Irish HR Champion Awards. This recognition is testament to the work that our teams put in to ensure that our people, regardless of their role in the organisation, or where in the world they are based, know that their wellbeing is a priority. As the world around us continues to evolve, so too has our wellbeing strategy. However, one thing that remains constant is our dedication to placing our people’s feedback at the heart of CluneTech.  We are incredibly proud of this achievement, and we are committed to continuously improving our offering in order to be the best possible employer for our people.”

Rachael O’Shea, Head of Employee Experience at CluneTech also commented:

“We place the voice of our people at the core of everything we do and while this award recognises our dedication to wellbeing, it also acknowledges the tremendous role they play in sharing their feedback so that we can deliver a strategy that is truly tailored to their needs. Over the last few years this strategy, and our overall employee experience, has truly transformed and our people are trusted, supported and empowered to work in a way that works for them. This has had a hugely positive impact on their work-life balance and overall wellbeing.”

In the last 12 months, CluneTech introduced an enhanced benefits package which included “Lifework Days” ̶ an additional half day’s leave per quarter where employees can get their life jobs done without having to use their hard-earned annual leave, summer flex hours where employees can work their standard five-day week across four and a half days and an enhanced Milestone Recognition Programme which offers better rewards for employees who wish to develop their careers with CluneTech.

These benefits were introduced in addition to an already comprehensive benefits package that prioritises employee well-being. Benefits include a range of fully paid leaves including maternity and paternity, IVF and pregnancy support, miscarriage and pregnancy loss and marriage, divorce or separation leave, and a flexible work environment where employees can work in a way that works for them, be that remote, hybrid or on-site.

In addition to enhanced benefits and work-life balance, CluneTech’s well-being strategy focused on further driving engagement and awareness of the company’s CSR programme. Through this programme CluneTech supported over 73 charities, causes and fundraisers in 2022 alone. Our people also dedicate their time to support charity and community initiatives, and after the introduction of a paid CSR Volunteer Day in 2021, uptake increased 105% last year.

Other features of CluneTech’s well-being strategy include a monthly wellbeing series in partnership with Laya Healthcare, a very successful annual Health and Wellbeing week, and a dedicated Wellbeing Space, which was created this year on CluneTech’s internal employee engagement platform.
